They worked together on Biche a Dunde thuna sail boat from Groix. He has the passion for wooden sailing boat. He know many thing and do many thing on board. He lived two years in Quebec and find inspiration there. Since he came back in Bretagne we work on La Cancalaise a famous lugger on whom he sailed when he was younger. Sail again on Leenan Head is evident for him.
"It is not evident for us to know exacly what we can touch on this old wooden structure. Difficult to read in her, to know what could injured the hull in the future. She making water as always, she known for that ! She not craking, she's not rot... So what ? Will we do nothing ?
Of course there is some pieces easy to replace and it is clear that have to be done. So this year we going to begin by the evident parts of the hull wich need to be replace, or doubling. After that an architect will fix the form in his computer. It will permit us to understand better how this ship moving. Finally a Carpenter will inspect some inacessible botom wich hide by the ballast.
So we will organise the next action for the next year. The most important is to make sure she will be ready for sail again during the winter, because as long as she will be at sea as long as she will livin !

A bientôt
Emeric
