The ABSC is a not-for-profit association (law 1901) affiliated to the French Federation of Surfing (FFS). The association was created in December 2007 by Willy Lliboutry in Canet-en-Roussillon (66).
Three objectives:
The objective of Project Rescue Ocean is to protect the marine environment. It organizes awareness-raising actions and actions to clean beaches, seabed and rivers.
Three objectives:
The ABSC and Project Rescue Ocean associations wish to participate together in the Dordogne Intégrale, a multi-support race (stand-up paddle, kayak, canoe, canoe, canoe ...) of 130 kilometers.
Communicating the ABSC and Project Rescue Ocean associations, Disseminating
the message of respect for aquatic environments (limiting the production and dispersal of waste) and raising public awareness of pollution problems in aquatic environments . A conference will be organized after this event to raise public awareness of the problems of pollution of the aquatic environment.
The Dordogne is a strong symbol for our associations. Indeed, since 2016, the Dordogne is recognized by UNESCO as the cleanest river in France .
A real effort has been made to rehabilitate it. After more than 30 years of industrial exploitation, it took 3 years of work to make this river its face of yesteryear.
A race of 130 km between Argentat (19) and Castelnaud (24) in beautiful scenery. A true sporting challenge to carry our message and engrave in the memory of each participant unique memories.
The choice of the Dragon is linked to our desire to share highlights during the race, to encourage ourselves ... without sacrificing performance because this SUP is a bolide. It requires good co-ordination between rowers, which will strengthen team spirit.
Beyond the race, this support will allow all the public (children, adults and disabled people ) to discover the stand-up paddle safely.
All the equipment acquired for this event will be put by the association (ABSC) at the disposal of its members. It will also allow to make discover water sports to different publics.
The paddles used during the race are adjustable paddles of very good quality, suitable for long distances and small jigs or even children. They will allow us to maintain our joints during the 14 hours of effort.
As part of the ABSC, these paddles will be particularly suitable for children and beginners.
Speaking of protection and pollution problems, organizing a conference are not a substitute for concrete actions: the ABSC and Project Rescue Ocean undertake to jointly carry out clean- up actions such as that planned after the summer for cracks on the feet Cliffs between Port Leucate and La Franqui (1), on the border of our two departments.
Other actions are being studied such as cleaning the mouth of the Tet (2), Le Bourdigou (3) ...
The cost of the project: 4813 €
The various patrons already committed support us in the amount of 1927 €:
Many media and personalities support our project and propose to relay information:
Radio stations : Chérie FM, France Bleu and NRJ.

It remains for us to raise the sum of 2368 € to finance the minimum project , ie to buy the "Dragon" board for the race and the club as well as to organize a conference on the problems of the pollution of the aquatic environments.
If we reach the 2886 € we will pass in comfort mode , because we will have high-end paddles for the race and then the club will benefit from this equipment .
If we exceed the 2886 € , the surplus will be shared equally between the two associations to enable them to carry out their respective missions (sensitization and discovery of the marine environment and wave sports).
